The new version is being recoded in Cocoa (not RealBasic).  This version will incorporate most of the core concepts of the earlier version and some new ones.  This is an early look.  This may actually never see the light of day since I'm using it as an excuse/way of learning Cocoa.

Full screen view.  Targetted view on the left (friends, dms, replies, etc.), public timeline on the right.

Hover-over for public twits.

Right-click a public twitter for operations.

Capture all the URLs conveniently.

Integrated with Apple's iCal.  Everything you send and receive (replies, dms, etc.) are logged to a calendar.

Integrated with iTunes.

Integrated with Safari.

Color coding of Twitters for easy identifcation:

Green is a reply! 

Blue is a direct message!

Red  is a mention or retweet!

Indication of how many replies, direct messages, and retweets in sidebar.  All color coded appropriately.

View a user's profile and homepage all at once.

Automatically detect spam followers.

Follow the top ten Twitter trends.

Create and assign users to unlimited groups.

Many predefined categories.  Create your own.   Twitter users are automatically assigned into a category!

A category is like a pre-defined group.
